Law Practice: Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge Alfred A. Arraj, Chief Judge, District of Colorado, 1969-1970. Joined Wood Tatum in 1970; partner since 1974. Practice has involved all areas of Wood Tatum's maritime work. Practice since 1980 has emphasized cases in the U.S. District Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Supreme Court involving collision, grounding and fire casualties, seaman's penalty wage claims, major cargo damage, maritime commercial issues arising from charter, freight, demurrage and lien disputes, and all aspects of oil pollution including response and cleanup, third-party claims, federal and state penalty and resource damage assessment. Manages broad range of services provided by Wood Tatum as Portland P&I Correspondent for 14 P&I Clubs of the International Group.
